September 19th – September 23rd

This week’s progress has been exciting as we have begun ordering parts for our design as per our liaison Dr. Rohde. The Fly Bye team had three meetings this week, one with our coach Dr. Koppal, one with our liaison Dr. Rohde, and one with just the team. Our meeting with Dr. Koppal ended with tangible action items for each member of the team to complete. Our meeting with Barukh resulted in additional action items as well as a better scope of the criteria for our prototypes. Additionally, we established a weekly meeting time with both Dr. Koppal and Dr. Rohde. We have also been put in contact with the local USDA-ARS location who will be sharing resources for the advancement of the project. In our team meeting, Fly Bye compiled a project road map with major project goals and deadlines, and began drafting our first month report which is due next week. This Saturday the team is meeting along with the IPPD program to attend the Six Sigma workshop hosted at UF. We are looking forward to this event and the activities in the following week!
