Edward Zhang

Edward Zhang is currently a senior at the University of Florida majoring in both Computer Engineering and Finance. He is an experienced full-stack developer with a passion for writing clean, well-tested, and efficient code. Over this past summer, he interned as a Software Engineer Intern at Google in NYC, where he worked on the Drive Sharing team. His full-stack project at Google exposed him to many languages and frameworks, including TypeScript, Java, and unit/integration testing.

Edward loves building technical solutions to ambiguous problems and driving innovation through technology and code. Outside of academics, he loves staying active, and enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, and skiing.

Alex Perez

Alex Perez is a computer engineering major here at the University of Florida. He has interned both with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, as well as, L3Harris on robotics related projects. Alex has been working at the Machine Intelligence Lab since he started college, where he has had the opportunity to develop the software for autonomous vehicles.

Earlier in 2022, Alex received the UF ECE Undergraduate Service Excellence Award. In the future, he plans on working in the robotics industry full time after obtaining his Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida. When he is not working on school or research, Alex enjoys playing ping pong and spending time with friends.

Mitchell Robert

Mitchell Robert is a computer science student at the University of Florida. He is a member of the UF Machine Intelligence Lab where he helps in the building and programming of autonomous robots. In addition to this, he has worked in the past on a web development project for the on-campus organization White Coat Company.

Mitchell has expanded his classes to include subjects beyond just computer science. For his physics minor, he has taken classes like Intro to Modern Physics and Introductory Quantum Mechanics. Mitchell is also interested in agriculture, and he has volunteered at the Field and Fork Farm on the UF campus several hours a week in past semesters.

Jimmy Watt

Jimmy Watt is a senior Electrical Engineering student who anticipates graduating in the Spring of 2023. While in school Jimmy took classes that focused on Power, Power electronics, and Electromagnetics. He is also a member of academic and athletic clubs at the University of Florida which include UF Power and Energy Club, IEEE, UF surf, and Gator beach volleyball. Jimmy has had two internship experiences working for Hospital Medicine Solutions and Northrop Grumman. At Northrop Grumman, Jimmy worked with the Power Hardware team.

After Graduation Jimmy intends to get a job working on the hardware side of electrical engineering. During his time at the University of Florida, he gravitated toward these types of classes. Jimmy is excited to work on a larger team with more disciplines and hopes to learn from those disciplines.

Brady McNeely

Brady McNeely is a 4th year at the University of Florida currently studying Computer Science at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. In May 2023, he will also graduate with a minor in Electrical Engineering.

Brady has plenty of software development experience. He has developed multiple databases and desktop applications in SQL and C++. On the hardware side, he has synthesized circuits on FPGAs and utilized modules on microprocessors with VHDL and C. Combining his experience in software development with microprocessor applications allows Brady to be able to work on a wide variety of projects from databases to embedded systems.

Computers are Brady’s passion and is strongly motivated to make them more powerful than ever before. Even in his spare time, he enjoys building PCs, keyboards, and keeping up to date on the latest technical innovations.
