This week has been an exciting and busy week in the IPPD program. Here are some highlights:

• Development in our prototype system design
• Improvements in the performance of our models
• IPPD alumni Guest Speaker

In class this week we got to hear from IPPD and UF alumni speaker William Johnson. He talked us through his professional experiences starting with IPPD, working in a professional role at Accenture, and now what he does at his own start up. This startup is known as Overhead intelligence and uses artificial intelligence and autonomous systems to create geographical mappings. He gave a lot of advice as to what we should expect as engineers in the work place and how his expectations did not match reality.

For everyone on the team this was a valuable experience and a chance to take a step back from the busy implementation of our project and examine the bigger picture of our time as IPPD students.
