Meet SurgiGators

Juan De La Espriella

Juan is a 4th year Biomedical Engineering student pursuing a Biomaterials Certificate. His experiences includes an internship with Gainesville Prosthetics, research with the Human Neuromechanics Lab, and involvement in UF GRiP. Following graduation, Juan plans to pursue a masters in BME.


Travis Koenig

Travis is a 4th year Biomedical Engineering student. His experiences include an internship with Kalitec Medical, research with the NeuroProstheses Lab, and involvement with UF Dream Team Engineering. Following graduation, Travis plans to enter the biomedical device industry.


Lindsay Lord

Lindsay is a 5th year Computer Engineering student. Her experiences include a co-op at Georgia Tech Research Institute, an internship at Intuitive Surgical, and involvement with UF GRiP. Following graduation, Lindsay plans to enter the medical robotics industry.


Carson Lyttle

Carson is a 5th year Electrical Engineering student. His experiences include an internship at NextEra Energy, founding an autonomous farming startup, and UF Track and Cross Country. Following graduation, Carson plans to enter industry in circuit design.


Elizabeth Wildsmith

Elizabeth is a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student. Her experiences include an internship at Johnson & Johnson Vision, research with UF’s Cancer Engineering Lab, and orientation leader at UF. Following graduation, Elizabeth plans to enter the medical device industry.
