Hannah Frassrand
Hannah Frassrand is a senior in mechanical engineering at the University of Florida who is passionate about the themed entertainment industry. She is currently the President of Theme Park Engineering & Design club (TPED), in which she coordinates the officers to host design teams, professional general body meetings, tours, and guest speakers.
This past summer, she was an intern with Universal Orlando Resort for Project Administration. Her team focused on ride refurbishments, which gave her experience with project documentation, vendor communication, and the engineering mechanisms of attractions. The internship was a dream come true – Growing up in Palm Coast, Florida, it was the highlight of her weekends to visit the theme parks with friends and family. She also interned at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as a Business Intern and Senior Ride Operator of Apollo’s Chariot, a B&M Hyper Coaster.
She is thankful for all the friends, memories, and lessons learned along the way – and can’t wait to make more!

Ethan Glogau
Ethan Glogau is currently in his 4th year of study at the University of Florida. In May 2023, he will graduate with a major in Computer Engineering. Ethan has been an active member in multiple student organizations in his time at UF. He is currently the Administrative Vice President of the Engineering Ambassadors, and he has held multiple other leadership positions within this organization including the service chair and special events chair. He has also served as a teaching assistant for the Honors Professional Development for Engineers course. Ethan is a member of the University Honors Program and has been selected for the Dean’s List many times.
Ethan has held internship positions in the past two summers related to software development. In the summer of 2022, he worked as a software developer intern at AVEVA, a large industrial software company. At AVEVA, Ethan worked on Identity Services for the AVEVA DataHub cloud software suite. In the summer of 2021, Ethan worked at Texas Instruments as a software engineering intern. He worked on an embedded systems team, specifically doing tooling for ZIGBEE low-power communication technology.
Ethan has gained a wealth of industry experience in software engineering which he is excited to pursue after graduation. Ethan is passionate about nature and a balanced life.

Jacob Mass
Jacob Mass is passionate about bringing out the creativity in engineering to make a positive impact in the world.
Jacob is a Benacquisto Scholar and Honors Student at the University of Florida, where he is studying various approaches to engineering and design. He has spent several years developing a broad array of technical skills, including programming and 3D modeling in multiple languages and programs. He sees these skills primarily as a means to assist him in his goals of innovating and problem-solving. Concurrent with focusing on excellent performance in his technical classes, Jacob has dedicated time in his studies to develop his creative strengths through several artistic classes.
Jacob has had several opportunities to apply these skills to practical use. Independent from the IPPD program, he is currently working with the Cade Museum to design, build, and digitize interactive museum installations. He has worked with such groups as the World Toilet Organization, a globally-reaching Singaporean non-profit organization, and Impact Labs, an Israeli startup designing assistive technology.
Professionally speaking, Jacob’s primary motives involve doing what he’s best at–ideation and making–to help address human needs and create positive experiences. Jacob is curious about creating meaning in the professional world–he spent a year interviewing professionals and working with editors to create a manuscript about how engineers can find meaning in their work through key virtues.
In non-professional settings, though, Jacob likes to be a tad silly. He enjoys playing drums and percussion and spending time with those he cares about. His ever-changing list of hobbies currently includes biking, reading, and Rubik’s cubing.

Caitlin Mazariegos-Diaz
Caitlin Mazariegos-Diaz is currently a fifth year at the University of Florida majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Educational Studies. In May 2023, she will graduate from Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida with a passion to start her professional career in product design and management, applying her leadership skills and hands-on design knowledge gained from her 3 internships, research, classes, and extracurricular involvements.
During the past three summers, she has gained insight and applied herself to the engineering work industry with her 3 internships at GE Aviation, a company known for jet and turboprop engines in both commercial and military sectors. The intern positions she has held are Supplier Quality Engineer, High Pressure Turbine Design Engineer, and Technical Engineering. Caitlin’s Internship experience has given her valuable experience and insight into product design, hardware production, manufacturing process improvement and standard quality regulations. Working with interdisciplinary teams to find cost efficient, manufacturable, producible, and adaptable process/products while keeping safety and human factors into major consideration.
Caitlin is an active director and member for the UF-Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, serving as a past lead marketing director and currently a first-year leader program director. Her roles include team management, event coordination, and team leadership. She is also an outreach director for SciTeens, an educational resource non-profit, combining her love for S.T.E.M, teaching, and giving back to her community. Caitlin’s passions in life include photography, giving back, and spending time with her family.

Aaron Sossong
Aaron Sossong is a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida. In December 2023, he will graduate with his bachelor’s degree. Aaron has been on the Aerogator design team at UF since fall 2020 and was a team lead from fall 2021 – spring 2022. On this team, he led the design of the landing gear of a powered parachute. In the fall of 2021, Aaron led his Design and Manufacturing Lab class team. In this class, Aaron and his team designed and manufactured a robot for entry into a competition with their peers. During these leadership duties, Aaron organized and conducted meetings, efficiently delegated tasks, and ensured his teams were on schedule and within budget. Aaron is proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, Java, WordPress software, and LabVIEW.
