Stefan Hengartner

Stefan Hengartner is a fourth-year student at the University of Florida double majoring in Computer Science (Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering) and Mathematics (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences), intending to graduate in Spring 2022. While attending the University of Florida, he has participated in various organizations such as Phi Kappa Phi and the UF Student Honors Organization. He was also elected as public relations officer on the executive board of Honor Chords, an a capella group at UF, where he headed member recruitment, managed the organization’s presence on social media, and used Adobe Photoshop and Notability to design flyers and posters. In his junior year, he also worked as an undergraduate tutor for UF’s Computer and Information Science and Engineering department, primarily grading papers for a cybersecurity graduate course.

Steven Siegel

Steven Siegel has attended the University of Florida since June of 2017. Entering his 5th year, Steven is a computer science engineering major with professional experience in both backend and frontend software development. Beginning in the summer of 2019, Steven has interned with multiple companies in the defense industry. During the summers of his sophomore and junior years of college, Steven relocated to Orlando, Florida and Portsmouth, Rhode Island to work as a software engineering intern for NAVAIR and Raytheon Technologies. Beyond his internship experience, Steven has held leadership positions in various organizations at the University of Florida. Throughout his tenure as a university student, Steven has served as Vice Chair of Communications for Gator Innovators and Executive Secretary of Technology for Student Government.

Sahir Limage

Sahir Limage is a fourth year Computer Science major and Mathematics minor. His technical knowledge includes Linux, enterprise security, database, agile development method, tools such as NodeJS or, and coding languages such as java, c++, and JavaScript. A few of his favorite projects include Nutshell, Sandvik Drill Parser, and Minesweeper. Nutshell is a command interpreter similar to a Unix shell. He liked this project for its layers, needing a Lexer and parser to interpret input, c/c++ code to implement various commands, and Linux knowledge needed to implement the commands. Sandvik Drill Parser is a web application he developed in a group which took in different specifications as input, such as drill size, parsed through a list of drills in a database, and returned the drill or drills that best matched the specifications. Sahir really liked this project because it was done in a team. He learned a lot about working in a team from this experience. His favorite project is Minesweeper in which he used the SFML graphics library to recreate the classic puzzle game. He liked using a graphics library for the first time and loved using it to create a game. He also liked how many basic coding principles were directly applied such as recursion and dynamic memory allocation. Sahir is also interested in network and enterprise security and finds these topics interesting. Other than coding, Sahir’s favorite hobby is playing his alto saxophone. He is also a member of the Gator Marching Band and participates in concert bands.

Keith Levengood

Keith Levengood is a fourth-year student of Computer Science at the University of Florida. In May 2021, he will graduate with a minor in Statistics from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Keith has worked on individual projects such as simulating network load and creating a heuristic algorithm for solving minesweeper, as well as group projects like building a browser game or tracing and predicting student movement patterns using WLAN. Keith achieved Dean’s List in Spring of 2021, to spite e-learning. Keith was an active member of the Software Engineering Club until fall of 2020.

Before matriculating to the University of Florida, Keith participated in an internship with the City of West Palm Beach’s IT department. This provided insight on business level network administration, and experience working with software vendors to provide solutions and tools to end users. Keith is interested in Data Science and Machine Learning and hopes to achieve a master’s degree focusing on modern data processing. In the short-term, Keith is looking forward to beginning as a programmer or data analyst to gain skills and professional experience or getting accepted for a master’s program to gain further knowledge.

Being an Eagle Scout, Keith is passionate about nature. He hopes to one day be as good a mentor for environmental stewardship as those he had in Boy Scouts and the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs Wekiva Youth Camp.
