Meet Grape Expectations

Juan Daniel Cornu

Juan Daniel Cornu is a senior at the University of Florida majoring in Biological Engineering with a minor in Biomolecular Engineering. Daniel has worked as a Research Assistant in a project regarding the production of biodegradable plastic utilizing bacteria. Daniel’s professional interests are guided by sustainable development, focusing on the use of biotechnology for renewable energy production and recovery of value from waste. After graduation, he intends to complete the FE exam and work for a company in the energy or biotechnology field. 


Andrew Kim

Andrew Kim is currently in his 4th year of study at the University of Florida. He is majoring in computer science, mathematics and statistics. Andrew has been a peer mentor and grader for various classes in the computer and information science and engineering department. Andrew is most interested in mathematics and applying his mathematical knowledge in other areas of study such as computer science, statistics, and data science.


Emily Miller

Emily Miller is a senior biological engineering student specializing in biosystems engineering. Driven by a passion for finding climate change solutions, Miller aims to use her biological background to further research in organic renewable energy technology. Miller’s experience includes a synthetic biology internship at the National Renewable Energy Lab, along with undergraduate research and teaching assistant experience.


Julio Montes de Oca

Julio Montes de Oca is a senior Computer Science student at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. His interests in his field of study lie mostly in machine learning solutions and UX optimizations. He interned at a startup where he executed frontend, backend, and DevOps tasks for AI centered projects. Once he graduates, he will be joining Accenture as a software developer.


Daniel Rousso

Daniel Rousso is a senior computer science student. He was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. He moved to the United States when he was 17 years old, and he has been fascinated by technology and innovation ever since. His experience includes a software engineering internship working in the AWS Machine Learning division, and an internship at a law firm using a machine learning model with Big Data.
