This week we followed up on all the great project plan feedback we received and moved into finalizing our prototype implementation plan for Prototype Inspection day next month. We are planning to showcase and gain further feedback on our current progress and software implementation plan through a curated multimedia presentation including a physical segment model, UI prototype, and a detailed data flow overview. We hope to use the physical segment model to aid us in explaining highway segmentation to a new crowd. Our UI prototyping is currently underway, with 2 preliminary iterations, one a rough HTML mockup, and the second a more complete intermediate web app representation of our desired outcome. We plan to keep iterating on the UI prototype so we can receive the most relevant feedback at prototype inspection day.

Besides prototyping, we also got some new data source options for consideration from our liaisons at McTrans, along with some personal employee tools that we hope to use for validation and reference in the development stage. We continue making steady progress overall and look forward to showing off our progress in next week’s meetings!
