Meet the Team

Noah Rosenberger, CpE

Noah Rosenberger is an engineering student at the University of Florida with a passion for embedded systems prototyping, full-system product development, and the integration of hardware and software. This project allows him to apply computer vision and iOS application development to solve a critical, real-world utility challenge. His engineering background is highly cross-disciplinary, covering circuit design, schematic creation, and PCB layout using Altium, alongside hands-on experience with FPGAs, firmware development, and mechanical prototyping. On the software side, he utilizes C++ and Python to build robust solutions, drawing on academic training in operating systems, data structures, and algorithms. He enjoys streamlining complex workflows through automation and is deeply motivated by the process of scaling functional prototypes into high-volume manufactured products.

Abby Jouett, CS

Abby Jouett is a senior Computer Science student with a passion for software engineering and cybersecurity. She is interested in the FPL project as it offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers to solve a real-world problem, combin.

Abdullah Islam, CpE

Abdullah Islam is currently studying Computer Engineering in his senior year at the University of Florida along with a minor in Digital Arts and Sciences. He has previous experience working with Unreal Engine and Computer Vision models. He was interested in FPL’s project because of the scope of the project and the array of expertise the design challenge demands. He enjoys photography as a hobby and does not miss a chance to mention his experience studying abroad in Japan for a semester.

Shawn Zhudro, ME

Shawn Zhudro is currently a mechanical engineering senior at the University of Florida with plans to complete an accelerated Master’s degree in the field through UF’s 4+1 Program. Shawn has a strong background in mechanical design, prototyping, communication, and engineering leadership through his professional and extracurricular experiences. He chose to work on this project for the fun of the challenge posed by FPL, sating both an interest in both the dynamics theory behind transmission line construction and the energy field as a whole. Outside of engineering experiences, Shawn volunteers with Tau Beta Pi’s UF chapter, plays board games weekly with other UF students, and is active in the Gainesville rock climbing scene.

Benjamin Levine, ME

Benjamin Levine is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida, with certificates in project management and artificial intelligence. He has previous experience working in mechanical design and testing. He was interested in working with FPL on this project because of the ability to design a full prototype and the design challenges that come with solving a problem. Outside of engineering, he enjoys running, watching sports, and hanging out with his friends.

Jared Paulovich, ME

Jared Paulovich is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida. He brings industry experience with mechanical design, FEA simulations, GD&T principles, test engineering, and interdisciplinary work with electrical engineers. Working on a project at FPL interested him due to the application of a laser-based measurement mechanism, closely related with laser imaging work at his former research lab. Outside of engineering, he is currently serving as club president of UF’s Gator Roundnet club trying to popularize a niche sport.

Ryan Stewart, ME

Ryan Stewart is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineer with a minor in business administration. He is passionate about robotics and electromechanical systems. He was interested in FPL’s project because of the challenge of engineering an autonomous electromechanical system to meet FPL’s standards and goals.
