First of all, thank you to everyone that was in attendance and gave constructive feedback on our presentation. Our presentation went extremely well and the audience was amazing. We went over our PDR to get feedback on how to improve our presentation before we present it to our sponsor, Bealls Inc. We received and heard all of the criticisms and are excited to polish our presentation. Team Loyalty also had the pleasure of listening to 3 other teams and their PDR presentation. They were great at presenting and received our criticisms very well.

Next Steps

Additionally, we have expanded our prototyping and we are in the process of finishing our first iteration of a fully functional prototype. We are preparing this for the presentation to our sponsor so we get feedback right away on what to change. We understand that this process is going to be iterative and will have constant changes so it can be the best it can be.

Thank you for your continued support and keep tuning in to our project for more!

Week #6: Prototyping New Design & Getting Closer to PDR Presentation!

Deep into Prototyping New Design!

Our second iteration of the prototype is still in progress but this week we showed our coach and liaison the work we have done so far and they offered insightful critiques. Some of the changes we noted were the color ways of the two sides of our app. The default shopping products will be bealls products and they can switch to Bealls Florida in the services menu and it’ll change the look of the app. We also got access to a testing website through their website to be consistent with their website. The prototyping has moved along well and we are excited to have a clean finalized version ready to present for our on site visit which is soon to be confirmed!

Additionally, we are in the works of setting up our presentations for our visit to the Bealls Inc. site. We are excited to present our ideas!

We will soon have our new prototype ready to show you all. The image is a sneak peak into our design. Stay tuned!

Week #5- Official Logo and Prototyping Continued!

After many iterations and suggestions from classmates in the teams channel, we have finally found a logo that represents us. We wanted to keep the name loyalty and the phone icon to represent our project. Then, by adding the bell and the color read, we were able to connect it to our project sponsor Bealls Inc.!

Deep into Prototyping!

Our first iteration of the prototype walkthrough went smoothly in our meeting this week. We were able to show core functionality of our proposed app and welcomed ideas to improve it. There are many ideas we have to keep improving our prototype and are excited to see how it evolves each week.

We have exciting activities coming quickly, such as our first draft of the PDR and scheduling our dates to visit our sponsor company site. Stay tuned for exciting updates and we might have a new sleek design of our app in the works we might tease soon!

Week 4- Prototyping!

Team Loyalty has started their prototyping for the Bealls App and made a new iteration of our logo!

We have had team discussions about our logo and with the help of the teams channel, we have come up with a new team logo. We want to incorporate our main objective of our project, which is a loyalty app. We blended together the app icon and our name to make a sleek and simple design.

Our team has had productive meetings with our liaison and coach. We have begun prototyping our apps pages and the flow of it from the user perspective. The image shown above is just one page. We have made several pages such as home page, profile, settings, shopping, chatbot, checkout, history, favorite items, and rewards tracker. Our prototyping is an ongoing process that is going to be constantly updated and fine tuned to our liaisons liking. We are excited to see how each stage of our prototyping will keep growing.

As we head into next week, we are ecstatic to keep working on our prototypes, keeping a note of our timeline, and doing research on the best technologies our apps needs.

We welcome you to keep tabs on our journey of our app!

Week 3- Setting Up!

Team 5 or better known as Loyalty, is getting things rolling!

Our team has started to meet weekly and were able to come up with our first iteration of our team name and logo. It is a work and progress but we came up with a sleek and simple design that represents our project and values. We welcome all the feedback on our name and logo!

Additionally, we have assigned our roles and responsibilities.

  • Ronan V.- Team leader and finance
  • Matthew S. – Facilitator and timekeeper
  • Ethan Z. – Template design manager
  • Joseph B.- Scribe
  • Matthew J. – Research Librarian
  • Erick G. – Web and blog editor

This week we had the pleasure of meeting with our project liaison Connie Uriarte. In this meeting we were able to iron some things out and understand what the main goals and objectives are for this project. We also discussed our next steps for the project so we can strive for success.

We are in the process of confirming times for weekly meetings with our coach and liaison. We can’t wait to take the next big step for the project.

Keep tuning in for updates!

Week 2- Welcome to the Bealls Team!

Welcome to our first ever blog post! We are excited to work with our coach, Dr. Ashish Aggarwal, and our team’s sponsor, Bealls, this year. Our project is about creating and designing a mobile application that offers real-time shopping and personalized loyalty rewards. What makes our app stand out is its ability to enhance customer engagement through personalized experiences and recommendations with AI.

This week, our team was formed and had the opportunity to meet each other. We started to define key objectives and the scope for our project. In the upcoming days, we will be meeting with our coach and liaison, as well as deciding on our team name and logo, and determining responsibilities within our team. Tune in to our weekly posts to keep up with our project progress.
