CHAMPS in Training: White Belt Edition

This week the CHAMPS team went to Six Sigma training and earned white belts. As a team, we learned about how to organize and design processes. From the beginning of the day to the end, we took an inefficient process, identified issues, restructured the process, and made the time of the process decrease tenfold. This training aided in our team building and we will use going forward when designing our model. We also had a great time working with Cyber Simul8 at the workshop and gaining experience working with an even larger group.

For our project development, we created our first draft of the Product Design Review and received our first data file from our liaisons. We are ecstatic about starting data cleaning and preliminary data analysis. We also gained access to HiPerGator, so we can run our models faster in the future. Our plans for the upcoming week are to gain an understanding of the commander data and learn more about the commander system as a whole.

As a team, we are continuing to ramp up to our liaison visit at the end of October and the delivery of our preliminary design review. Check in next week to find out about our findings from preliminary data analysis!
