Meet This Team


Lucas Avery

Lucas Avery is a Biological Engineering major and an Economics minor. He has worked a lot with food products in the past with research projects. He has designed and printed several different parts for research as well. His main design experience is from working in the Ag/Bio department doing research projects. 

Ian Cook

Ian Cook is a Mechanical Engineer major, CS minor, senior. Ian has worked on a variety of design projects, mostly in robotics. He is very interested in the hands on and problems solving aspects of engineering. Ian has been involved in student design teams here at UF as well as previous experience before UF.

Andrew Motzer

Andrew Motzer is an Electrical Engineer major. Experience with multiple projects doing product design, testing, and implementation through student clubs. Internship experience for 4 summers at BMW, Honeywell, and Wilson & Girgenti.

Brittney Pohl

Brittney Pohl is a 5th year Mechanical Engineering student. Her experiences include a Project Engineering Internship with Boeing, an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Co-op with GE Appliances, and as an Operations and Supply Chain Intern at Carrier. Brittney plans to work in a Project or Systems Engineering role following graduation.  

Caylynne Teem

Caylynne Teem is a 5th year Mechanical Engineering student. Her experience in industry is centered around Manufacturing as she completed a year-long co-op at Apple as a Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) in Power, and later returned for a summer internship as a MDE in the module space. She has previously been involved with Society of Women Engineers, where she held the roles of Device Design Team Lead, Mentoring Chair, & Social Chair. More recently, she has been involved with Dream Team Engineering Surgical Design, focusing on creating a realistic cholecystectomy surgical model for resident practice. Following graduation, Caylynne intends to pursue work within manufacturing.

Liying Wu

Liying Wu is a 4th year majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. She is the current Team Lead for the Ceramic Mug Drop Design Team, which produces slip-cast mugs from student-produced 3D-printed designs. Liying has interned with Savannah River Mission Completion to support and improve the processing within the concentration, storage, and transfer facility.
