This week, we had our first meeting with our sponsoring company, FPL. Specifically, we met with our Engineering Liaisons, Kyle Bush and Scott McDaniel. This was a great opportunity for our team to get answers for many of our lingering questions. We were also able to get numerical values for our specifications, which will lets us complete our PDS, and is a necessary prerequisite for purchasing sensors. After going over our Scope of Work, FPL added some new features, such as detection and notification of worker egress from the zone, and data collection and logging about vehicle trajectories. Overall, the meeting went very well, and we look forward to collaborating with our Liaisons throughout the project. This week we also worked on our Project Roadmap. This holistic summary of the timeline for every deliverable for the project. Creating and understanding this early on, as well as planning in buffer time for when things go south, will ensure the project execution runs smoothly.
