Amadeo Hoxha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am Amadeo, 4th-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Florida, minoring in Biomechanics and graduating in Spring 2025. I\u2019ve been heavily involved in ASME, serving as mentorship coordinator and now internal vice president, and am also part of the Engineering Leadership Circle. My technical experience includes leading part knee portion design of BioDesign\u2019s exoskeleton project and contributing to a full-body OpenSim musculoskeletal model, which I plan to present at UF\u2019s Spring Symposium and the 2026 World Congress of Biomechanics. Skilled in Fusion360, SolidWorks, and several programming languages, I aim to secure a summer internship after graduation and may pursue a Master\u2019s in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering. I am excited for IPPD to prepare me for my future!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

David Iten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My name is David Iten; I am a fourth year mechanical engineering student at the University of Florida. I have always had a passion for problem solving which is why I have chosen this career path. During my time at UF, I had the privilege to intern abroad in Ireland at Transway Fleet Solutions. This past summer I was a design and manufacturing intern at CLEW Engineering, where I still work part time. I am part of the Undergraduate Scholars Program where I am a research assistant for the Florida Additive Manufacturing and System Integration Laboratory, and I am a devoted member to UF’s Robot Arm Design Team, a subset of Real World Engineering. These experiences have influenced my decision to enroll in UF’s 4+1 combined degree program as I work towards my Master’s in mechanical engineering. I am excited to be a member on such a distinguished team for IPPD, and look forward to what we can accomplish together!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Garret McDilda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My name is Garrett McDilda, and I am a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Florida. Beginning with my first robotics class in middle school, my enjoyment of building and designing machines has continued to grow during my time at UF. I have begun exploring controls engineering through assisting the Smart Autonomy Laboratory with their research on autonomous vehicle control. This semester, I have been given the opportunity to be a project manager in one of ASME\u2019s design teams: IAM3D. I am eager to improve upon my technical design abilities and gain valuable professional development experience as a member of the IPPD program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Saperstein<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hi, I’m from Jacksonville, FL, born and raised. I’m in my fifth year of Chemical Engineering here at UF. I currently tutor part-time in the Santa Fe Learning Commons, helping students with Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics. I’m also involved in Dr. Travis Anderson’s Semiconductor Research group here at UF. I’m excited to apply my experiences and expertise with my team members, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sebastian Sobrino-Gonzalez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My name is Sebastian Sobrino-Gonzalez, and I am a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida. In terms of professional experience, I have had the opportunity to intern with John Deere, Caterpillar, and Procter & Gamble, which has shaped my growing interest in Manufacturing Engineering. This is a field I am further pursuing through a master\u2019s degree via the combined 4+1 program. On campus, I have been deeply involved with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) since my first year and currently serve as President. I am excited to continue learning, growing, and collaborating with my team this year through the IPPD program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dylan Ver Helst<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dylan Ver Helst is a fourth-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Florida. He has been an active member of UF\u2019s Formula SAE chapter, serving as a tractive system engineer and later in developmental operations, where he gained hands-on experience in machining, 3D printing, composites, and design. Over two summers, he interned with BMR Suspension, contributing to both fixture and production part designs used in real-world manufacturing. His experience at BMR gave him valuable insight into the entire design process, from ideation to manufacturing. Outside academics, he enjoys basketball, football, and spending time with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
