Shreejit Cheela

Shreejit Cheela is a Master’s student in Artificial Intelligence Systems at the University of Florida (3.83 CGPA) with a strong background in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Analytics. He earned his B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from VBIT with an 8.63 CGPA. Believing in learning by doing, he has completed over 30 projects and multiple internships in AI, ML, and Data Analysis, working on everything from predictive modelling and sentiment analysis to product-focused roles involving mentoring and content curation. Alongside his Master’s, he is going to work as an OPS Student Assistant at UF Shands Hospital, where he is contributing to an AI-powered NLP project for the College of Dentistry, applying his skills to meaningful, real-world healthcare challenges.

Shreejit grew up in Hyderabad, India, and recently moved to Gainesville, Florida, where he’s still exploring the city and finding his place in a new environment. He enjoys meeting new people, building friendships, and sharing ideas. Professionally, he is looking for full-time opportunities in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, while also staying motivated to pursue a Ph.D. in the future to deepen his research experience in AI. His goal is to apply advanced technologies in meaningful ways while working in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Ankith Reddy Subhanpuram

Ankith Reddy Subhanpuram is a dedicated AI enthusiast currently making waves as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida’s Biomedical AI Collaborative (IC3) in Gainesville. He works on creating AI tools that support digital twins for ICU care, focusing on improving experiences for patients and families with innovative technology. As an AI Engineer Intern at Scholarship Auditions in Nashville, he builds chatbots and explores AI applications in music education, showing his love for connecting technology with creative pursuits. With a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence Systems from UF (GPA 3.83/4.00) and a Bachelor’s from Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology (GPA 8.76/10.0), his time at India’s Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics deepened his passion for accessible tech, where he helped develop speech recognition for underserved languages like Assamese and Bengali.

Beyond his professional roles, Ankith shines as a leader, having guided a team at EpsilonPI ML Club in India to explore AI benefits from July 2023 to May 2024, and continuing as an alumnus. Originally from Telangana, India, Ankith now enjoys Gainesville’s community, spending free time with yoga and chai, always eager to collaborate on meaningful solutions. He is highly interested in pursuing a PhD in machine learning, with a focus on researching 1D signal analysis, including natural language processing and speech recognition, to advance AI’s role in understanding and preserving human communication.

Anany Sharma

Anany Sharma is a dedicated and innovative AI specialist currently advancing the field of efficient machine learning as a Research Fellow at the University of Florida, where he is also completing his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Systems. As part of his ongoing research, he focuses on optimizing and deploying sophisticated AI models on resource-constrained edge devices. This includes running inference with Small Language Models (SLMs) on platforms like the Jetson Nano to perform comparative analyses of compute performance between edge and cloud environments.

Before his academic fellowship, Anany honed his skills as an AI/ML Software Engineer at United Health Group, where he received five Bravo awards for performance recognition. There, he engineered enterprise-grade solutions that delivered significant business impact, including a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) microservice to substantially improve retrieval efficiency and a claims validation service that increased adjudication rates. His proficiency extends to architecting high-volume ETL pipelines for managing immense quantities of monthly claims and processing vast datasets.

Anany’s passion for innovation is further demonstrated through his independent development of complex AI systems, including a multi-agent platform for medical services and a multimodal pipeline for emotion-aware image generation. A forward-thinker in computer vision, he holds a published patent for a YOLOv5-based crowd detection system designed for real-time risk analysis. Driven by the challenge of creating intelligent and scalable solutions, Anany continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in artificial intelligence, from large-scale cloud systems to low-power embedded applications.

Sainath Chettupally

Sainath Chettupally is a Master’s student in Applied Data Science at the University of Florida with a 4.0 GPA. He currently works as a Research Assistant, leading the development of “Context,” an AI-powered educational platform integrated with Canvas. Before his master’s, Sainath was an AI Solutions Engineer at Cognizant, where he delivered enterprise-grade AI analytics solutions, automated workflows with chatbots, and optimized large-scale databases. His technical expertise includes Python, SQL, TensorFlow, and modern data platforms like Snowflake and vector databases, making him a valuable asset in developing innovative, data-driven solutions.
