Yiwei Bian<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Computer Engineering, 4th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yiwei Bian is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Florida with a 3.92 GPA. As the Industry Liaison for IEEE-HKN and Seminars Coordinator for UF IEEE, he builds connections between students, faculty, and industry. Yiwei’s experience spans internships at TrendyTech, where he developed a cloud-based energy-saving platform, and Ericsson, where he learned 5G product testing. His research at UF’s Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group focuses on power transfer methods for agricultural robots, including designing wireless drone charging stations. He also enjoys working on personal microprocessor and FPGA projects, like a musical synthesizer, and is a member of UF\u2019s table tennis team.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Andriana Detsis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mechanical Engineering, 4th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andriana Detsis is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida, set to graduate in Spring 2025 with a minor in Economics. She has actively participated in leadership roles within organizations like Engineers Without Borders and Dream Team Engineering, contributing to projects focused on sustainable innovation, such as water distribution systems in Peru, and medical device design and three-dimensional anatomical modeling. Andriana has also gained industry experience through internships at Cobra Design & Engineering and Engineering Matrix, where she honed her skills in design, engineering analysis, and interdisciplinary teamwork.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Maya Dunn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mechanical Engineering, 4th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya is a fourth-year, Mechanical Engineer who is set to graduate with a minor in Biomechanics in Maya 2025. Her passions lie within researching, developing, and building medical devices. She is currently serving as a Project Manager within Generational Relief in Prosthetics (GRiP), where she manages 18 teams and 23 captains to create and deliver 18 recipient projects by the end of the school year. She is also volunteering as an Undergraduate Research Assistant within the OrthoBME Laboratory to assist in processing and analyzing data. This past summer, Maya interned with Boston Scientific as a Process Development intern where she gained experience with test method development and process optimization.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Heon Heo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Computer Engineering, 4th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heon Heo is a computer engineer, a problem solver, and an active learner. He is currently serving as an Outreach Director at Software Engineering Club and a Training Lead of the Clubfinity team, where he has spent two years to develop a cross-platform mobile application for connecting students and campus organizations. Recognized as an AI Scholar, he has developed a predictive AI model for potential natural vegetation prediction at the Florida Museum of Natural History. He also gained an industry experience as a Software Engineering Intern at RadicalX, where he built web APIs using JavaScript and Firebase. He is set to graduate in December 2025 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering with mathematics and linguistics minor.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Paul McKenzie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Biomedical Engineering, 5th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul is a biomedical engineer excited to work in the biotech industry post-graduation in May 2025. \u00a0He has experience in 4 different design teams through GRIP and at the Center for Safety, Simulation, and Advanced Learning Technologies. During his time as captain of a 10-person team he got hands on experience building an assistive drinking device incorporating electrical and 3D printed components. He learned how to delegate tasks to team members and facilitate team discussions. Paul also has industry experience working with Rx Bandz in NJ in test method engineering, drug development, and quality assurance. He has experience in designing fixtures for test methods and learned how to improve his designs based on usability, cost, and manufacturability.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Rivera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Biomedical Engineering, 4th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel is a fourth-year biomedical engineering student at the University of Florida. He is an experienced student with expertise in team leadership, research, and professional development. He spent two years at the Human Neuromechanics Laboratory, gaining hands-on experience in electroencephalogram data collection related to human locomotion and contributing to a project focused on developing a lower limb exoskeleton for muscular dystrophy patients. Additionally, Daniel worked as a supply chain co-op at Depuy Synthes, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, where he supported process engineers in process improvements, lean manufacturing, and scrap analysis, gaining valuable industry insight.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Frank Vigoa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mechanical Engineering, 5th Year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frank Vigoa is a fifth-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida, set to graduate in Spring 2025 with a minor in Chinese Studies. He has been involved in organizations like the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE UF), where he served as treasurer and Professional Bootcamp Director, helping 200+ Hispanic engineering students with professional development. Frank has completed internships with Accenture and Pratt & Whitney, gaining a broad understanding of different industries, and participated in an externship with ExxonMobil.
